About me

Do you have never-ending 'Mum guilt'?

Or are you a father who is missing their family after a relationship breakdown?

Or are you suffering from burn out caring for a relative?

Do you keep making the same mistakes which lead to problems and arguments in the home?

Looking after others can be draining and stressful. This can lead you to feel anxious, depressed, angry, unworthy, lonely or unloved. Talking things over with a trained professional outside of your family and friends can help you to find clarity, feel calmer, more in control, help you to make decisions without feeling guilty and give you a sense of self worth and  purpose. You are important; not just as a parent or carer but as a person in your own right.

I offer affordable counselling online via Zoom or WhatsApp video call or over the phone. Please feel free to phone me or email me to arrange a free informal chat and to answer any questions you may have about how I can help you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working for the NHS, a local Children's Centre (with parents) and in my own Private Practice supporting adults both long and short term.

I also have personal experience as a single parent and caring for a family member with a brain injury.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
