About me
My approach is warm, confidential and non-judgemental, providing a safe and comfortable space where you can talk openly about whatever is troubling you. I believe therapy can help you understand yourself more deeply, recognise your strengths and feel better equipped to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I am an integrative therapist with Person-Centred Therapy at the heart of my work. This means that our sessions are shaped around you and what you need, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a powerful therapy that can help people process traumatic or distressing experiences that may still be affecting how they feel or respond today. EMDR can be particularly helpful where you feel you understand why you feel a certain way, but talking about it alone hasn't helped you move past it.
Alongside EMDR, I may draw on Transactional Analysis to explore patterns and beliefs that developed earlier in life, as well as psychodynamic approaches to help us understand how past experiences may be influencing you in the present.
You don't have to know which type of therapy you need before you come. We can talk about what is happening for you and decide together on an approach that feels right.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, working primarily with adults. I have a background in Psychology and Sociology at degree level, as well as a postgraduate qualification in Education, giving me a broad understanding of human behaviour, relationships and the impact our experiences can have throughout our lives.
I am also a fully trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapist and increasingly specialise in working with adults who have experienced trauma, difficult or distressing life experiences, anxiety, fears and emotional patterns that continue to affect them in the present.
My core approach is Person-Centred, but as an integrative therapist I am able to draw on different therapeutic approaches according to the individual needs of each client. My additional training includes Transactional Analysis, psychodynamic approaches, trauma, abuse, assertiveness, creative therapeutic approaches and art therapy.
Before developing my private practice, I spent three years working as a counsellor for the local council, supporting young people up to the age of 25 with a wide range of mental health and emotional difficulties. This experience has also given me valuable insight into how experiences earlier in life can continue to influence us well into adulthood.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and regular clinical supervision, including specialist supervision for my EMDR work, ensuring that my practice continues to develop and that I can offer a safe, informed and individually tailored approach to therapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
