About me

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.

I work with adults, children and young people, adapting therapy to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe everyone has their own story, and therapy should be a space where you can explore yours safely and at your own pace.

I have extensive experience working within children and young people’s mental health, including in a specialist Tier 4 CAMHS setting and residential care homes. I work with young people experiencing a wide range of complex mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, neurodiversity and psychosis.

I also work with adults experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma and life changes. You don’t need to have a diagnosis or be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes having a safe, confidential space to understand yourself and what you’re experiencing can be enough to begin making positive changes.

I have a particular interest in autism, ADHD,  neurodiversity and trauma, and have undertaken specialist training in these areas.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I can use creative and therapeutic approaches to help adults, children and young people express and explore feelings that may be difficult to put into words. Depending on the individual, this can include Sand Therapy, Drawing and Talking Therapy and Lego Therapy.

How I work

I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. I work collaboratively with you, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, difficult experiences, school/college stress or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a safe space to make sense of what is happening and work towards meaningful change.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about before starting. We can begin wherever feels right for you.

If you feel I may be the right therapist for you, please get in touch. I’d be happy to have an initial conversation about how I might support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
