About me
Beginning the therapy journey or engaging with a new therapist gives you a safe and confidential space in which to explore any issues, relationships or challenges that might be preventing you enjoying life.
I provide a unique space in which you can safely and at your own pace become closely aware of your feelings, thoughts and patterns of behaviour – often for the first time. I can help you better understand yourself and how you relate to others. The beginnings of self-awareness can lead to discover more about yourself and encourage gentle and profound change and growth.
Issues you are experiencing maybe triggered by a past event, current work situation, close relationship, or by feeling stuck or overwhelmed during a particular life transition. Anxiety may be leading to negative self-talk or comparison with others.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work relationally drawing from a variety of theories to support clients explore whatever challenges or difficulties you may be experiencing. I understand that life is challenging and that we go through periods of feeling sad, stuck, lost, unfulfilled or anxious. Believing that the client/counsellor relationship is important in the therapeutic process, I work collaboratively with clients to support change. This may look like exploring early life attachment styles and history, the impact of ADHD, abuse, relationship issues or the challenging of negative thought patterns or feelings of anxiety.
Holding the belief that we all have the capacity within to cope, grow and change through these difficult periods I provide an empathetic, listening and supportive space for clients to explore past and present experiences and emotions resulting in an improved and more fulfilling life.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
