About me

Hello, my name is Caroline, and I just want to share a little bit about me. I’m a wife and a mother whose own struggles led me to counselling some time ago which sparked within me a desire to help others. I  love working with people, I believe where there is life there is hope and things can always get better with the right help & support.

I am a registered Integrative Counsellor and I like to provide a warm, safe, non-judgmental space where you will be accepted, listened to and respected.

If you are at a time in your life where you are struggling, I believe it’s really important you have a safe place to talk through how you are feeling, and at your pace.

I believe when given this space to explore your struggles in a way that makes sense to you, it can enable you to cope better with everyday life and help to improve your overall wellbeing.

I understand that reaching out to a counsellor can be a huge step and it isn't always easy, but I would like to put your mind at ease and remind you that you don't have to share any more than you feel you are ready to, whether you are struggling with big life changes or just feeling lost and low, I'm here to help and support you where you’re at.

If you decide to go forward with counselling this will be your safe space to speak about whatever's bothering you, with me supporting you as you move towards a better place.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I am able to work with a variety of different models and approaches to help each of my clients work through their specific issues. This could involve psychodynamic therapy that looks into childhood, cognitive behavioural therapy to help you better understand your thinking and behaviour, or any other therapeutic technique that I think would be helpful for you.

I work with many different issues, including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, grief & loss, anger, sexual abuse and trauma.

I find a large percentage of my work is often around childhood trauma and many I work with have experienced difficult, complex or abusive childhoods.

Childhood trauma is common, yet not everyone recognises that the trauma, abuse or neglect they experienced as a child is at the root of the struggles they’re having in life today. When childhood trauma is not resolved feelings of fear and helplessness can be carried into adulthood leaving you living in a state of constant high alert which often leads to anxiety and panic.

Those inner child wounds can affect how you as an adult perceive yourself and others as well as how you behave in relationships today.

If you are thinking about beginning your counselling journey I currently have availability weekdays, and evenings, and I can offer face to face sessions locally and sessions online across the UK, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Face to face sessions will take place from a comfortable room just outside of Royston in Hertfordshire which is easy to access for anyone in the town, local villages or surrounding areas.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation, which I’m happy to do via telephone or video call. This will give you the opportunity to explore if I’m the right counsellor for you.

I work both on a short term and long term basis according to client needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my practice. If you are interested in counselling or have any questions you would like to ask then please contact me via email, text or book an introductory call. I will reply to all emails within 24hrs.

Please note, if contact is made by email, please check junk mail for replies.

If contacting me by telephone please be aware that I am not always able to answer, so please leave a voicemail and I will get back to you ASAP.

Many Thanks.
