About me
Thank you for visiting my page. I offer a friendly and professional counselling service within a welcoming and relaxed setting. Online or in person, your mental health and wellbeing is of the utmost importance and I would be privileged to support your journey
I have experience working with people16+ experiencing anxiety, depression/low mood, self esteem and confidence issues, grief, panic, stress, ptsd and more I like to chat and get to know the real you so that I can support you in the best and most effective way possible. There’s never any pressure and sessions are collaborative with a gentle and encouraging approach. Throughout my life I have encountered many of my own struggles and challenges while being a mum, a friend, a sister, a colleague, a partner etc Sometimes life can become overwhelming, we are spinning so many plates our stress bucket overflows and sometimes we just want to hide under the covers. Whatever you are going through, please note that I will do my utmost to support you through these times.
Training, qualifications & experience
Diploma in CBT at level 11. COSCAs Counselling Skills Certificate at level 8, experience of being a Volunteer Counsellor at Childline for 3.5 years plus a lifetime of overcoming my own struggles while working hard and looking after my family.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information
Sessions are recommended as taking place weekly for a minimum of 6 sessions for best results However I’m happy to consider fortnightly sessions to help keep costs low. Fees are payable in advance of each session and non refundable if sessions are cancelled within 48 hours Discretion may be made in cases of an emergency.
