About me
Are you finding things overwhelming? Do you feel anxious or stuck in a cycle of worry? Perhaps you feel unable to move forward, have a general sense of unhappiness, or struggle with low self-esteem or confidence. You may feel ready for change but unsure what that change should look like.
My name is Caroline and I offer support to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a safe and compassionate way. Together, we can work to understand what may be at the root of your difficulties and help you find your own way forward sometimes this can begin by gently looking at things from a new perspective.
My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, which means you are placed at the heart of our work together. The focus is on helping you gain clarity, develop a deeper understanding of your feelings, and build resilience for the future. I strive to build a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship, built on empathy, respect, and authenticity. This relationship forms the foundation for our work together, helping you feel safe to open up and explore your concerns at your own pace. You will be met with a completely confidential and non-judgemental space where we can work collaboratively through life’s challenges.
Support is offered for a wide range of issues that can arise in everyday life, including relationship difficulties with partners or family members, difficulties rooted in childhood experiences, bereavement and loss, work-related stress, anxiety, low mood, and low self-esteem. In our work together, you will find a warm, accepting space where you can feel safe to be vulnerable and fully express yourself.
Creative materials may also be used in sessions to support self-exploration and emotional expression. This can be a gentle and often insightful process, helping to bring new perspectives and understanding to your experiences. You do not need to be artistic or have any previous experience the focus is not on producing artwork, but on using creativity as another way of exploring thoughts and feelings when words feel difficult.
Walk-and-talk therapy is also available in green spaces for those who may benefit from working side by side rather than face to face. This can be particularly helpful for anyone who has found traditional indoor, online, or telephone counselling difficult to engage with. Many people experience this approach as more natural and less intense, allowing thoughts and feelings to flow more freely. Being in nature can further support wellbeing by reducing stress, improving mood, and creating a calm, grounding environment.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
