About me
I offer face-to-face counselling in Bristol and Weston-super-Mare, or online anywhere in the UK.
Therapy changed my life, and this inspired me to become a therapist. When I was struggling, my therapist supported me through my pain. They shared my darkest moments without judging me, so I felt safe enough to be completely vulnerable. For the first time, I could fully express my thoughts, feelings and inner world without shame. They made me feel seen, valued, and understood, which helped me understand, accept, and value myself too.
I know first-hand how powerful it can be to sit with someone who truly listens. Speaking my problems and worries out loud gave me a new perspective- one that helped me to see life differently, to find new solutions, and healthier ways of being. This gave me hope.
Therapy was transformative for me, and now I aim to offer that same experience to others. My goal is to support you through life’s challenges and help you make the changes you want, so you can live more fully and reach your potential.
You might come to therapy with a clear issue, or perhaps you just feel that something is “off” or missing. Either way, we can explore that together and work to resolve and overcome the challenges you face, to help live the life that you want. Therapy offers you a dedicated time and space to slow things down, think and talk about your problems to uncover their origins, bringing them to light to become more manageable.
You may relate to some of these experiences:
- You often doubt yourself, even when others praise you. You might struggle to acknowledge your strengths, finding it hard to accept compliments, believe in your successes, or celebrate your achievements.
- You hold back from pursuing jobs or relationships, afraid of getting it wrong, or being judged or rejected.
- You feel unheard or lonely in relationships, or find it hard to express how you feel. You might be in a difficult relationship, or struggle to make relationships work.
- Something painful has happened, and you can’t stop thinking about it. You might feel confused, let down, angry, or helpless. Perhaps you fear it could happen again, or that your emotions are too overwhelming to face.
- You feel unfulfilled or stuck in your work or life. You may worry about the future or feel like something is missing. You might wonder who you are outside of your roles- as a parent, partner, child, or colleague- and want to redefine yourself, but don’t know where to start.
- You find yourself relying on coping strategies that no longer work, like self-harm, using food or alcohol to manage emotions, or keeping constantly busy to avoid difficult feelings or unmet needs.
Whatever you're facing, I believe you already have the strength and resources within you to move forward, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. My role is to help you connect with those inner tools and build a personalised toolkit for healing and growth.
