About me

I am fully insured and a registered member of the BACP; as such, I work using their ethical framework.

I genuinely believe that helping others to move toward their goal, whether that be (for example) escaping suffering, managing addiction, or increasing assertiveness, not only benefits them, but also the wider society in which we live.

Any number of issues could be the reason you're reading this now: anxiety, depression, bereavement. Perhaps you feel stuck, unsure what to do, or don't think you can change. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed with, 'everything'. Perhaps now is the right time for you to be truly listened to. If this is the case then I can offer you my help.By providing you with the right conditions; a calm, private space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, without judgment, our aim is to build, or restore, your resilience, your confidence in your own capabilities, and your ability to cope with the inescapable difficulty and suffering that life presents us with. You will be valued and heard.

I strongly believe that you are the expert on your life, and as such, our work together will depend on where you take us in the sessions. This non-directive approach could be one of the factors in you taking back control, regaining your inner-strength, or silencing your inner-critic. Feel free to get in touch and I will reply as soon as possible.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
