About me

There are times in life where we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or no longer quite sure where we fit within ourselves or the world around us. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of things at your own pace, within a relationship grounded in care, curiosity, and acceptance.

As a person-centred therapist, I aim to offer a space that feels warm, collaborative, and human — somewhere you don’t need to arrive with perfectly formed words or have everything figured out. My role isn’t to direct or diagnose you, but to move alongside you as you explore your experiences, your relationships, your identity, and the things that may be difficult to hold alone.

My own experiences of therapy, self-discovery, and later being diagnosed autistic/ADHD in adulthood have deeply shaped the way I understand both myself and the therapeutic process. They’ve encouraged me to think a lot about the kinds of spaces people deserve to be met within, and the importance of feeling seen, accepted, and understood within our complexity.

My work is rooted in deep connection, community, curiosity, and compassion. Growing up in the east end of Glasgow, community often felt like an extension of family, and that sense of care, humour, resilience, and togetherness continues to shape the way I understand people and relationships today.

I understand therapy as something that exists within the wider contexts of our lives — the societal pressures we navigate, experiences of identity and belonging, and the systems that can shape the ways we move through the world. I hold awareness of these wider influences while always centring your own unique experiences.

I work with clients experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, neurodivergence, identity and sexuality, childhood trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.

Alongside talking therapy, I also love welcoming creativity into the room and encouraging clients to bring the things that help them feel most themselves — whether that’s writing, music, humour, storytelling, art, special interests, or the things they feel passionate about.

Above all, I aim to offer a space where you can exist as you are, at a pace that feels right for you.

If you feel curious or would like to reach out, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call via Zoom or phone. This gives us a chance to connect, talk a little about what brings you to therapy, and see whether we might be a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • COSCA Listening Skills Certificate
  • BSc (Hons) Psychology and Counselling
  • MSc Psychotherapy and Counselling

I have two years’ experience working therapeutically and as a researcher with clients at the University of Strathclyde Research Clinic, offering one-to-one counselling and conducted research interviews.

Alongside my therapy training, I also have previous experience working as a doula, supporting pregnant people and those in their early postnatal experience who were seeking asylum, as well as individuals who had experienced trafficking and sexual violence. This work involved offering trauma-informed, nurturing and relational support during an especially vulnerable and significant time, with a strong focus on safety, dignity and centring each person’s needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
