About me
I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist working with adults, offering a steady and compassionate space to explore what’s been difficult, confusing, or overwhelming.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re not used to talking about yourself or you’ve spent a long time holding things together on your own. My aim is to make those first steps feel a little easier. People often come to me when they’re feeling stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure why certain feelings or patterns keep repeating.
In the space I offer you can bring uncertainty, contradictions, or feelings that don’t make sense yet, and through a working alliance we can figure them out together.
I practice psychodynamically, which is often called “the talking therapy”. Through communication, the therapeutic work will focus on trying to understand how your childhood experiences, current issues and patterns of thinking can shape and impact feelings that may be difficult to access.
If you’re interested in starting, I’ll send a short questionnaire and we can arrange an initial consultation to get a sense of how we might work together and whether therapy feels right for you.
I offer online sessions to people all over the UK and I am able to see people face to face in Brighton and Hove.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained rigorously to meet professional and ethical standards.
My training includes:
• Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Brighton)
• Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (British Psychotherapy Foundation, London).
I have been practising for around five years in a charitable clinic, working with a wide range of emotional difficulties and life experiences. My approach focuses on recognising emotional patterns, exploring past experiences, and bringing difficult or unconscious feelings into awareness so they can be understood rather than carried alone
Due to my cultural background, I can offer sessions in both English or French.
My education and work experience in addition to psychotherapy is in humanities and working for the community.
I am a member of both the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I adhere to their ethical framework.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
