About us
Hi, I’m Lorna - a person-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting adults through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. I believe that everyone’s experiences are unique, and I’m committed to creating a warm, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to share what’s truly on your mind.
Life can sometimes throw unexpected challenges our way, leaving us feeling overwhelmed with sadness, anxiety, or loneliness. You might find yourself struggling to keep up with daily routines, facing difficulties in your relationships, or feeling misunderstood and judged by those around you. These experiences can be isolating, but you don’t have to face them alone.
That’s where counselling can make a meaningful difference. I’m here to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can truly be heard, understood, and validated. Together, we’ll explore your feelings and experiences, helping you gain clarity and insight. I’ll also support you in tailoring strategies and solutions that align with your individual needs and goals, guiding you toward a more fulfilling and resilient life.
Therefore, whether you’re facing anxiety, struggling with depression, or navigating any other type of emotional concerns, I encourage you to share openly about your experiences and what kind of support you’re seeking.
My hope is to walk alongside you on a journey toward a brighter, healthier future—one where resilience and purpose can flourish.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
