About me

I work with young people (15/16+) and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and loneliness. I can support you with perfectionism and low self-esteem. If you're finding life overwhelming and feel stuck, or lost about your direction or purpose, I can help. I support people navigating grief, trauma and burnout. I can help if you're feeling disconnected or on the outside

  • Maybe life feels confusing. Nothing feels quite right, you’re unsure which path to take, and the pressure to make the “right” choice leaves you stuck, exhausted and doubting yourself.
  • It seems like everyone is moving forward while you’re feeling left behind — missing milestones, questioning your choices, fearful of making mistakes, or carrying expectations that don’t fit.
  • You might be dealing with family issues you don’t feel able to share with anyone, finding friendships hard, or struggling in a relationship.
  • Perhaps you’re feeling anxious — overthinking everything, navigating social anxiety, or trying to survive a demanding job or toxic manager.
  • Or perhaps you’re grieving — a loved one, a beloved pet, a job, or a relationship — and quietly trying to find your way through the loss.

Whatever is happening for you, I understand, and you’re not alone.

How we’ll work together

As a Person-Centred counsellor, I’ll tailor to you as an individual and focus on what you need. I’m warm, caring, compassionate, and I accept you for who you are.

I'll use therapeutic skills to support you in finding your autonomy, making meaningful changes and fulfilling your potential. I can share theories with you that might help you better understand yourself or techniques to help your day-to-day life. We’ll gently explore whatever feels heavy or overwhelming, working through difficult emotions or memories together. We'll discuss what you’d like to achieve and work towards your goals. I'll be there every step of the way.

I offer sessions in person from my professional, homely office in Ossett — a safe, confidential space to speak freely — or online or by phone if that feels more comfortable. There are photos of the office below!

Sessions with me

How many sessions you have is entirely up to you! Counselling often benefits from time and consistency, so I work open-endedly to stay flexible around your needs. But if you have a budget or timeframe, we can work towards that too. My aim is that you leave each session feeling better and lighter for having spoken to someone who is genuinely listening and understands.

Sessions typically last an hour. At first, the space is mostly yours, as I get to know you. I’ll gently ask questions or reflect back to ensure I’ve understood and to help you untangle thoughts and feelings. We can explore techniques and approaches to figure out what’s helpful to you.

Free Introduction Call

I offer a free 20–30 minute phone or video call so we can introduce ourselves and talk more about what’s brought you to counselling. You’re welcome to ask any questions, and I can explain more about how I work, including my client contract. If it feels right, we can then arrange your first session.

Travel & Facilities

My ground-floor office has a step at the entrance and steps down to the toilet, so unfortunately it isn’t wheelchair accessible. There’s ample nearby parking, it’s a short walk from Ossett bus station, just minutes from Junction 40 of the M1, and right by Ossett town centre.

I look forward to hearing from you when you feel ready.
