Do you feel stuck? Lost? Out of control? Overwhelmed? Or maybe you’ve just decided it’s time to look deeper within yourself.
I offer a versatile, you-centred approach that emphasises the inner resources that you may not even know you already have. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer a variety of creative (using visuals, art materials, sand trays, etc) and somatic (working with the body and nervous system) approaches to help you connect with yourself at a deeper level. This might be of particular interest to you if you find it difficult to talk about your feelings, tend to 'live in your head', have experienced trauma, haven't had much success with traditional talking therapy in the past, don't know where to start, or are just curious about these ways of working.
I offer therapy in my office in Leith, outdoors in the surrounding area, online, or a hybrid of any of the above.
Please contact me for a free 20 minute consultation to see if I might be a good fit for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Master of Counselling degree from the University of Edinburgh, where I trained in person-centred and psychodynamic therapy. I arrived here via my decade-plus career in education (specialising in primary education and additional support needs). In addition to my private practice, I have experience working with adults within NHS primary care and children/young people within the charitable sector.
I have a background in the arts and have long been a firm believer in the importance of the mind-body connection. I have sought out additional training in these areas, including a Certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (EmbodyLab), so that I can incorporate these elements within my therapy practice.

I actively work to maintain an awareness and education around the ways in which difference, diversity, and systemic power structures affect people's experiences and the therapeutic process. No matter who you are, I will seek to understand things from your perspective. I am LGBTQIA+, BDSM/kink, ENM/polyam, and sex worker friendly.
