About me
Are you feeling anxious or depressed? Perhaps you feel like you’re not quite getting the most out of life.
I’m Bob, I’m a calm, straightforward person and I offer a supportive space to encourage you to meet your full potential, live your fullest life and ultimately be who you really are.
Sometimes in life we develop patterns which, though once necessary ways of being have now outgrown their original purpose and can begin to get in the way of us living a vibrant and authentic life. I’ll meet you as a real person and together we can build a genuine relationship where these patterns can be understood, ultimately giving you more choices over your life and a space to heal.
My approach has a strong grounding in Trauma and I am inspired by Gestalt therapy, attachment and certain aspects of Transactional Analysis. Ultimately however I work with relationships. I am interested in the relationship between us in here as well as your relationship with others out there. My training as a psychotherapist means I’d be able to work at depth with you, for as long as needed to help you become your fullest, truest self.
I warmly invite you to make contact to see if I’m the sort of person you are looking to work with. You might want to have a short initial phone or video call or you may just want to arrange an initial session straight away. Both would be an opportunity to outline what is going on for you and check out if you’d feel OK with us working together.
Training, qualifications & experience
My main training was a 6-year, psychotherapy training leading to full clinical membership of UKCP (United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists). This entailed 4 years of in-depth, experiential as well as theoretical training, followed by two further years of post-completion independent study. The UKCP is the leading professional body for training and accrediting psychotherapists and counsellors. More recently I have been engaged by the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute as Assistant Trainer on their Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy course.

- Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma Integrated Psychotherapy (Welsh Psychotherapy Institute)
- Level 7 PGCE (St. Martin’s College, Lancaster)
- Level 7 Masters (Université de Paris, France)
- Level 6 Diploma (Institute of Linguists)

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
