About us

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck—and unsure where to turn?

You’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep struggling by yourself.

At Bloom Therapy Rooms in Penryn and Falmouth, I offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk freely, make sense of what you’re going through, and begin reconnecting with who you are beneath the stress, fear, or exhaustion. My aim is to help you feel truly heard, understood, and supported as you move towards greater clarity, resilience, and emotional balance.

How I Work

I’m a trauma-informed counsellor, and my practice is grounded in a person-centred approach—meaning I see you as the expert in your own life. Together, we explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe, helping you reconnect with your inner resources and rebuild a sense of trust in yourself.

Alongside traditional counselling, I integrate neuroscience-informed techniques to help you understand how the brain and body respond to stress, anxiety, and trauma. Clients often find this helps them regulate their nervous system, manage overwhelm, and create lasting emotional change.

My aim is to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering—where you don’t have to hide, mask, or pretend.

Who I Work With

I support adults and young people who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety, panic, stress, or overwhelm
  • Depression and low mood
  • Trauma, PTSD, or CPTSD
  • Domestic or sexual abuse
  • Addiction, including porn or sex addiction
  • Low self-esteem or confidence issues
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Work stress, burnout, or bullying
  • Neurodiversity-related challenges
  • The emotional impact of health issues, including cancer

I have specialist experience working with veterans, survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and individuals recovering from complex trauma.

My practice is fully inclusive of all identities, backgrounds, sexualities, and spiritual traditions.

What You Can Expect

  • A confidential, non-judgemental space where you set the pace
  • A compassionate, grounded presence who listens deeply
  • A blend of person-centred therapy and neuroscience-informed tools
  • Support for both emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Flexible ways to meet: face-to-face in Penryn, online sessions, or walk-and-talk therapy in local woodland
  • Evening and weekend appointments

About Me

I’m a qualified counsellor with a strong trauma-informed foundation, shaped by my work with veterans’ services and domestic abuse charities. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the many ways trauma affects daily life—and how healing becomes possible when someone finally feels safe, validated, and supported.

Clients describe me as calm, steady, and easy to talk to. My work combines empathy with evidence-based knowledge from the latest neuroscience and psychology research, helping clients not only process their emotions but understand why they feel the way they do.

Taking the First Step

Starting counselling can feel daunting, but it’s also an act of strength. I offer a free initial conversation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right.

If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing, resilience, and self-understanding—or if you simply want to explore whether therapy might help—please get in touch. I’m here to support you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
