About me

Hello, I’m Bibi. I am a BACP‑registered integrative therapist. I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be fully seen, heard, and understood. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a significant step, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, or experiences.

You may be noticing patterns such as people‑pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, overthinking, feeling responsible for others, or repeating relationship dynamics that leave you feeling drained. You may be navigating anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, relationship or family challenges, grief, trauma, burnout, identity questions, or stressful life transitions. Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer a space to slow down, breathe, reflect, and explore what is happening beneath the surface with compassion and curiosity.

Understanding Your Experiences

I believe that our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and ways of coping are shaped by our experiences and the meaning we make from them. Together, we can explore the experiences that have influenced who you are today, including your relationships, family background, cultural context, past experiences, and the patterns that may have developed as ways of protecting or coping.

My aim is not to revisit the past for the sake of it, but to help you understand how your experiences may continue to influence your present. Through this understanding, you can begin to recognise what feels helpful, what no longer serves you, and what changes you may want to make moving forward.

My Approach

I am an integrative therapist drawing from person‑centred, Gestalt, psychodynamic approaches, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where helpful. My style is warm, calm, steady, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

Person‑centred: The therapeutic relationship is central to healing. I aim to offer a space where you feel accepted, respected, and able to be yourself.

Gestalt: We explore your present‑moment experiences - emotions, thoughts, bodily awareness, and relational patterns - helping you develop deeper connection and awareness.

Psychodynamic: We consider how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may continue to shape how you see yourself and relate to others today.

CBT (where needed): When helpful, we can work with unhelpful thinking patterns, behaviours, and coping strategies, supporting you to develop practical tools for managing anxiety, low mood, and emotional overwhelm.

My therapeutic style is warm, calm, compassionate, and collaborative . I pay close attention to how you are feeling in the moment and to what you might need from me as we explore your experiences together. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely met - not rushed, not judged, but accompanied with care, curiosity, and respect.

Our work is collaborative, I walk alongside you, offering gentle reflection and thoughtful challenge when it feels supportive, and always honouring your pace. Whether we are exploring present‑moment feelings, past patterns, or practical tools for managing difficult thoughts and emotions, my intention is to help you feel grounded, understood, empowered, and connected. I want our sessions to feel like a place where you can bring your whole self, and where you can begin to experience relationships in ways that feel safer, more strengthening, and more aligned with who you are.

Who I Work With

I work with adults from diverse backgrounds who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, low confidence, people-pleasing, domestic abuse, bereavement, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, burnout, family dynamics, low mood, identity exploration, or challenging life transitions.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating cultural identity, belonging, family expectations, workplace pressures, and the experience of balancing their own needs with the expectations of others. I recognise that our culture, upbringing, and social environments can shape how we understand ourselves and the choices we make. Sometimes we can feel caught between who we are and who we feel we are expected to be. Therapy can provide a space to explore these experiences and reconnect with your own values, voice, and sense of self.

I also have a special interest in men’s mental health, particularly around emotional expression, identity, relationships, and the pressures that can make it difficult to ask for support. Many men come to therapy unsure where to begin, and I offer a space where you don’t need to have the “right words” - just a willingness to explore what’s happening underneath.

A Space to Explore What Matters to You

I offer a safe, confidential, and non‑judgemental space where you can bring your experiences openly and honestly. I welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and faiths, including those who do not identify with a particular faith.

For clients who wish to explore spirituality or include their faith within therapy, I am open to incorporating practices such as prayer, Bible scripture, or spiritual reflection where this feels meaningful and supportive. This will always be guided by your beliefs, values, and what feels right for your therapeutic journey.

I also offer walk‑and‑talk therapy in nature for clients who feel more comfortable outdoors or find movement helps them open up more easily. Being outside can create a gentler, more grounded pace, and many people find it easier to talk while walking side‑by‑side rather than sitting face‑to‑face. Although I am primarily based online, I currently offer walk‑and‑talk sessions in Sutton Coldfield Park for clients who prefer working outdoors.

What to Expect From Our First Session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. We will discuss what you would like support with, any relevant experiences that may help me understand your journey, and what feels important for us to focus on.

I will explain how I work as an integrative therapist, go through the therapeutic agreement - including confidentiality, boundaries, and practical arrangements - and answer any questions you may have. Together, we can consider whether we feel we are a good fit and how we might work together moving forward.

Moving Forward

My hope is that through our work together, you feel increasingly understood, validated, empowered, and connected to yourself. Therapy can offer a space where you begin to recognise your own strengths, make sense of your experiences with greater clarity, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Over time, this process can support you in building deeper self‑awareness, emotional resilience, and healthier ways of relating to both yourself and others. My intention is to help you feel steadier within your own life, more confident in your voice, and more aligned with who you truly are.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over 10 years’ experience working within the mental health and health and social care sectors, providing trauma-informed support to adults, children, and families. I hold a BA (Hons) in Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing and an MSc in Integrative Counselling.

Throughout my counselling career, I have supported individuals experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, grief and loss, relational trauma, relationship difficulties, identity struggles, workplace stress, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, and low confidence.

My experience has strengthened my understanding of how life experiences, relationships, and past challenges can impact our emotional wellbeing and sense of self. I provide a compassionate, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach, creating a safe space where people can explore their experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards meaningful change and healing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

My fee for therapy is £50 per session. Sessions are 50 minutes and are available online via Zoom, by telephone if you prefer voice‑only sessions, or outdoors for walk‑and‑talk therapy in Sutton Coldfield Park.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation with no obligation, providing a space for us to connect and explore whether we’re a good fit to work together.

Payment is made before each session by bank transfer. If you prefer to pay monthly, we can arrange this together.

I offer a limited number of concession spaces for clients who may find the full fee a barrier to accessing therapy. These are available for students, individuals on a low income, those experiencing financial hardship, and people who are currently unemployed. If you feel a concession would make therapy more accessible for you, we can explore this together.

I ask for 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are charged at the full fee. This helps me keep the space consistent and ensures I can offer appointments fairly.
