About me

Thank you for visiting my profile 🙂

👋 I’m Beverley, a Level 7 Integrative Psychotherapist & Counsellor. I work therapeutically with children, young people, and with adults.

🤨 So what does ‘Integrative’ therapist mean? …It simply means that different ways of working are blended, so as to create therapy sessions that are as unique as you or your child.

🌿 What I Can Help With
I work with a range of presentations. These include:

  • Anxiety, worry, or panic
  • Low mood or depression
  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • Trauma and abuse (past or recent)
  • Anger, shame, or emotional overwhelm
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Identity, gender, and sexuality
  • Neurodivergence (including ADHD and autism).

I often work with adults and young people where there is a natural synergy between presenting issue(s) and my areas of lived experience or professional focus,  particularly trauma, low mood, suicidality, anxiety and neurodivergence.

🌿 Experience & Qualifications

Alongside my private practice - Trusting Therapy - I work in a self-employed capacity for one of Northamptonshire’s leading mental health charities, and as a counsellor in a local secondary school and sixth form.

These roles give me day-to-day insight into the challenges faced by children, young people, families and adults, alongside the lasting effects of early experiences into adulthood.

Along with my training and professional qualifications, my background as a trauma survivor allows me to offer a grounded, empathetic, and authentic therapeutic presence. In addition, I bring over two decades of navigated experience within the mental health system after receiving a bipolar diagnosis at the age of 21.

🌿 My Therapeutic Approach

I blend a range of approaches - including psychodynamic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and humanistic models - to tailor therapy uniquely to you.

Sessions may include talking, creative expression (such as art, mood/picture cards, or music), or mindfulness-based techniques - depending on what feels comfortable.

My work is trauma-informed, collaborative, and centred around trust and emotional safety. I believe that real healing begins within a strong, compassionate therapeutic relationship.

🌿 Who I Work With & How I Work

👥 Children & Young People (5–17): Face-to-face sessions only.

👥 Adults 18+: Online via Zoom or face-to-face (potentially under 18s with parental consent).

🔸 All sessions are 50 mins long.
🔸 The fee is £70.00 per session.

I offer a free, no-obligation introductory call (15–30 mins) - a no-pressure  phone conversation to see if we feel comfortable working together.

☀️ My therapy space is light, welcoming, and private, overlooking a quiet garden. Created to help you feel calm and safe from the moment you arrive. Rather than cold and clinical, client’s have likened the therapy space to a, cosy lounge.

🌿 Taking the Next Step

If you feel ready to explore how therapy could help, or you’d like to talk things through before deciding, get in touch to book your free introductory call. It’s a space to ask questions, get a sense of our connection, and take that next gentle step.

You may feel anxious about starting your journey, I completely understand and will gently guide you through.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile 🙂

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
