About me

**Face-to-face sessions now available

Hello there, whether you’ve found your way here because you’re seeking therapy yourself, or it’s for someone you love, thank you for stopping by. Whatever issues you're facing, there is hope. Life can feel overwhelming at the best of times, but especially when you’re dealing with anxiety, traumatic memories, or other challenges. No matter how deep the pain or how long you've carried it, healing is always possible.

I’m Beverley, an Integrative Psychotherapist, currently working with children and young adults in both school and sixth form settings. Being an integrative therapist means I blend (or integrate) more than one modality of therapy to create a unique therapeutic approach tailor-made for you. For example, our sessions may incorporate techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy, and creative methods such as art or music.

Areas of specific interest

I work with a very broad range of issues from self-harm and concerns around sexuality, to anger and abuse. I also have specific areas of interest which include trauma, bipolar disorder, low mood/depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety and neurodiversity.

Approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, rooted in trust and creating safety, and I work collaboratively with clients to build a strong therapeutic relationship.

As a survivor of childhood trauma, and someone who has overcome their own struggles, I understand how difficult life can feel.

If authenticity acquired from experiential knowledge feels helpful for you, I am here to offer a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, respected and supported. Please know that I won’t speak about my own experiences in the therapy room, as it is your space and time.

How I work

  • I offer both short-term and long-term therapy.
  • Sessions are £70.00 for 50 minutes.
  • I provide a complimentary phone call (up to 15-30 mins) - an opportunity for you to hear my voice, get a sense of our connection, and see if you feel comfortable moving forward.

I work with:

Ages 5 to 17 - face-to-face sessions only

Ages 18-24 - online or face-to-face sessions - online sessions are delivered via the platform Zoom.

If you'd like to book your initial session, or arrange a free introductory call, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Master’s degree - MSc Counselling Children and Young People (graduating with a Distinction).
  • Postgraduate Diploma (Level 7) - Counselling C & YP
  • BACP - Certificate of Proficiency
  • BA (Hons) Sociology & Law
  • Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling

In addition:

  • Registered member of BACP.

I’m currently studying for a Level 2 Certificate in Self-Harm and Suicide Awareness & Prevention.

I stay up to date with the latest research and developments in therapy to ensure my approach is grounded, responsive, and continually evolving.

Lived experience

Owing to both training and lived experience, I bring a perspective that is both professionally grounded and personal. This allows me to hold space with genuine empathy, insight and care - creating a safe, supportive environment as you navigate your healing journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
