About me
Hello, I'm Beth and I want to express my gratitude for taking the time to visit my page. I know that finding the right counsellor can be a daunting task, so it's essential for you to find someone who feels like a good fit for you. By reading my profile, you can get a sense of my counselling approach.
I am a trained Gestalt counsellor, with additional training in CBT and Person-Centered therapy. My style is one of encouragement and support. I believe that the relationship I build with my clients is fundamental to their growth and progress. My goal is to ensure that you feel truly listened to and understood in our sessions. I create a safe environment for my clients to heal and I work with you collaboratively to help you feel empowered.
Utilising my Gestalt training, I work holistically by focusing on your unique qualities in the present moment. I take into account who you are as a person and the experiences you've had in life, adapting our sessions to suit your needs and preferences.
I will give you a safe, confidential place to explore and challenge thoughts that are uncomfortable, speak them out loud and allow yourself feel how that thought sits with you.
Ideas explored in our session are not directives but avenues that you can choose to explore, you may choose to not act on them, but what it does is provide you with choice.
I have a MBACP membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering private counselling for ages 12 and above. Trust in my unwavering commitment to helping you navigate challenges, explore your emotions, and embrace positive change.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
