About me
Introduction
Life can be challenging at times. We are not meant to face difficulties alone.
I offer you a space for you to freely express yourself, to feel heard and supported. I hope to help you see things from a different perspective, so you can find your own path towards healing.
I value an open and honest therapeutic relationship, to help you feel comfortable to open up and talk about anything that’s on your mind.
About Me
My name is Benedetta, but everyone calls me Bene. I grew up in Italy, and I moved to the UK 15 years ago to study my first degree. After years of working as a Chiropractor and Yoga teacher, I became more aware of the intricate connection between body and mind, and decided to become a Counsellor to offer a holistic approach to therapy.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature, going to music gigs, practicing Yoga and Brazilian jiujitsu.
Who do I work with?
I work with people facing a variety of challenges, including:
- work stress, chronic stress and burnout
- anxiety and panic
- low mood and depression
- relationship difficulties
- trauma and PTSD symptoms
- feeling “not good enough” or disconnected from yourself.
- difficulties facing life changes such as relationships ending, divorce, moving to a different country, transition into parenthood.
- chronic pain and chronic conditions
My approach
I use an integrative approach which draws from a variety of methods depending on your individual needs, working with the whole person - mind, body, spirit. I work in a trauma-informed way, weaving together different modalities, from psychotherapeutic tools, to mindfulness and somatic practices. I am inspired by person centred counselling, as well as Jungian philosophy, Internal family system therapy, and existential therapy. My background as a chiropractor and yoga teacher inspires the holistic approach I take to counselling.
The therapy process is based on a collaborative relationship, and it’s centered around you. Everyone’s journey is different, and each session will be tailored to your needs. As a counsellor, my role is to walk alongside you, not judging or telling you what to do, but to support you in you seeing and accept yourself as a whole.
I believe we all carry the strength and wisdom we need inside us - sometimes we just need someone to help us reconnect with it.
My practice
I work both in person and online via WhatsApp or Google meets video call. My office is based in the quiet peace of my home garden in Sprowston, Norwich. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy session, using nature as a co-therapist. Nature and walking combined provide a natural mood boost, reduce anxiety, and help facilitate openness and dialogue.
Your first appointment
I offer a free 15 minute phone call before your first session, to begin to get to know each other, and make sure I am the best fit for you.
Your first session helps me gather information about you, what you want from therapy, and how to best support you. Sometimes people find it hard to know where to begin - the fact that you have made it to your first appointment is an excellent start. There is no right or wrong way to begin your session - I provide a relaxed, informal environment, and I can help you if you are unsure or get stuck.
After your initial session, weekly or fortnightly sessions are recommended initially for best result. Therapy ends when you want it to- I offer open ended therapy, as every person has their own specific needs.
How to book an appointment
To book a call or a session with me, simply email or text - I aim to reply within 24 hours.
Availability
I currently have availability on Monday 9AM-12PM, Tuesday 9AM-6PM and Thursday 3-6PM. For evening or weekend appointments, there is a waitlist- ask me to find out more.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
