About me
About me
I am an experienced therapist based in the UK and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and working with clients online in the UK and worldwide. Clients find me to be warm, welcoming with a calm and relaxed approach, which I believe helps to create a safe feeling place to explore in confidence difficult personal problems.
How do I work
I work online because I believe that for the most benefit, therapy should fit easily into our work and life schedules, and online work is the most facilitating for this. I am an integrative relational therapist which means I draw on different ideas and methods depending on the needs and preferences of each person. This can include, identifying and making sense of patterns of thinking and behaviour that are no longer useful, working out how our nervous systems are helping or hindering in our lives, and exploring attachment styles to help understand and improve relationships. I have an interactive approach in sessions, that encourages self exploration and self compassion for what is found. A harsh inner critic is not the best motivator for change and can often make change seem harder, so enabling a more tolerant and compassionate inner voice can be freeing.
Evidence and statistics show that the client/therapist relationship is an important part of success in therapy, so I will work with you to create a positive working relationship that can help you make the changes you want to make. I am experienced in creating an open and safe environment where it feels okay to speak about the things that concern you most, without fear of judgment.
I believe that whatever the problem is, with the right support everyone can find their way to a calmer, happier and more fulfilling life. I will sensitively support you through hard times and help you to find the path to reaching your goals.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
