About me
WHAT I OFFER
I offer a safe, caring, non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult thoughts and emotions at your own pace. My role is to walk alongside you, listen deeply, help you connect with the parts of yourself that may feel painful or lost, and support you in developing the tools to create lasting positive change in your life.
I am an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, based in Oxton, Wirral. My approach is flexible and responsive, drawing on my toolkit that has a range of techniques such as Internal Family System (IFS), Polyvagal theory, Attachment theory, and Transactional Analysis. This allows me to adapt to your unique needs and experiences, creating a flow that feels right for you.
MY APPROACH

EXPERIENCE
My experience includes working with adults and the elderly in private work and as a volunteer for various charities. I do have the skills and experience to enable you to begin to find your own way through difficult times.
After going through several difficult times in my own life, I sought help from a therapist. It was a life-changing growth experience for me and one which has given me the ability to lead a happier and more spiritual, fulfilled life. I have personal experience of the life-changing nature of counselling and work hard to ensure I can give everyone I work with the same transformative experience I had.
I have over 30 years of personal experience in participating in Gestalt Groups and workshops. My journey through personal therapy and my subsequent training as a Counsellor have shown me how powerful counselling can be. For anyone who may be considering starting therapy for the first time, be assured that the decision to start counselling will be one of the bravest you have ever made, but potentially one of the best.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
