About me
You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about before coming to therapy.
You might know that something doesn’t feel right, that you’re exhausted from holding everything together, or that somewhere along the way you’ve lost touch with yourself. You may have been carrying something for years, or perhaps life has changed and you are no longer sure how to make sense of where you are now.
Whatever brings you here, you do not need to have the right words.
I offer a warm, down to earth and compassionate space where we can explore what is happening together, at a pace that feels manageable for you. My role is not to analyse you from a distance or tell you how you should live your life. I see therapy as a collaborative process, built on trust, curiosity and genuine human connection.
I don’t see healing as fixing something that is broken. I see it as rediscovering your own strength, developing greater acceptance for all parts of yourself and gently exploring what may have been pushed aside, silenced, or carried for too long.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 20 years working with children and families within social work. That experience has shaped both who I am and how I understand people. During those years, I witnessed the extraordinary courage of those navigating trauma, grief and complexity, alongside the often unseen emotional weight carried by people in caring professions.
I saw how deeply experiences can live in the body, how silence can grow around pain and how important it can be to have a space where you do not need to perform, explain everything perfectly, or hold everything together.
My approach is integrative, relational and somatically informed. This means I draw from different therapeutic approaches rather than expecting every person to fit one particular model.
Sessions with me are conversational and collaborative. Sometimes we might talk and reflect together. At other times we may notice what is happening in your body, explore patterns in relationships, use imagery or creativity, or simply give space to something that has never really had enough room before.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that there is wisdom within us, even when we have lost touch with it. Therapy can offer a space to begin listening again.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and I work in a neurodivergent informed way.
