About me

Taking that first step toward therapy can feel a bit daunting, and it takes genuine heart to do it. If you’re going through a tough time, feeling overwhelmed, or just trying to make sense of things, I want you to know that you don't have to deal with it all on your own.

Life can throw a lot at us, and it’s completely normal to feel stuck, tired, or unsure of what to do next. Over the years, I’ve helped people work through many difficult life experiences, including:

  • Stress, Anxiety & Burnout: When worry feels constant and you’re running on empty.
  • Trauma & Past Hurts: Healing from painful events, abuse, and lingering memories.
  • Low Mood & Depression: Finding hope and energy when life feels heavy or flat.
  • Grief & Loss: Navigating bereavement, miscarriage, or major life changes.
  • Discrimination & Identity: Processing the painful effects of racism, unfair treatment, or feeling out of place.
  • Breaking Harmful Habits: Understanding why we turn to addictions or unhelpful behaviours to cope.

How We’ll Work Together
I view therapy as two equal human beings sitting down to figure things out together. You know your own life best; my job is to listen, support you, and give you the tools to help you heal.

In our sessions, you can speak openly and honestly without any fear of judgment or being a burden.

We’ll help you catch your breath and find calm in the middle of whatever is going on. We'll then look at the root causes and past experiences so you can understand why you feel the way you do. We will also discuss practical ways to care for your own mental health, helping you handle whatever life throws at you in the future.

Taking the Next Step
Taking that first step can feel intimidating, but you don't need to have all the answers right now. We'll work things through together.

Please do send me a message today to set up a free introductory call. I’m here to support you through the hard times, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training is grounded in existential and integrative approaches which mean I draw from different modalities to suit your needs. I trained at the Regents University, London, a world renowned training institute for psychotherapy and psychology.

I am an accredited registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which is the professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Additional information

I believe, for therapy to be successful, it is important that we are both able to work with each other. It is important to establish this at the outset as the therapeutic relationship is based on Trust. We can discuss fees during this session.
