About me

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You might be carrying old stories, tangled emotions, the weight of the past or present, hoping things could feel lighter. Psychotherapy offers a space where your inner world can breathe, be explored, and begin to shift. In that space, you and I can look beneath the surface and notice what has been waiting to be seen.

I often support people navigating anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, trauma or childhood wounds, identity questions, and periods of major transition. Whether what you’re facing feels recent or rooted in long-standing patterns, we can work through it together at your pace.

My work is built on a respectful, collaborative partnership. I want you to feel truly met, to feel that I’m not simply listening, but recognising the layers of what you’re carrying. As trust builds, you may find that stalled places begin to soften. Parts of you that once felt tight or muted begin to grow, sometimes in ways that surprise you.

My therapeutic orientation is integrative, shaped by evidence-informed approaches that allow me to tailor every session to your needs. I integrate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, narrative and attachment-focused therapies. With children and adolescents, I also specialise in play therapy. With a background in general psychology, I draw on evidence-informed tools and techniques from across the field. All of this rests on a deep appreciation for the brain’s neuroplasticity, the neurological capacity we all have to form new patterns of thinking and feeling.

I come to therapy from a non-pathologising, strengths-based perspective. While mental health diagnoses can be useful, I avoid reducing anyone to a label. I focus on understanding your experiences in context and help you build on your strengths.

My hope is that our work together helps you feel supported, gain clarity, and move toward the change you have been looking for.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
