About me

Hello, and a warm welcome.

I'm Tony, a qualified integrative counsellor with offices in Hemel, St Albans and Watford, offering a calm, warm and compassionate approach either face to face locally or online across the UK. I help individuals work through numerous challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD and trauma.

I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and feel genuinely heard. My approach is to tailor the support around your unique needs and explore evidence based approaches with you that feel right for you. My own lived experience gives me a grounded understanding of what it means to carry a lot on the inside while appearing fine on the outside. It informs the consistent, empathic presence I bring to therapy, and the respect I hold for each person's individual story.

What It’s Like to Work With Me:

I believe healing happens in relationship, one built on honesty, trust, and real human connection. This is why I stand by my 'Human First, Therapist Second' guiding principle. My role is to be alongside you, with warmth, empathy and steadiness, as we explore what’s going on beneath the surface. You don’t need to have the “right” words or clear goals. My creative way of working helps when words feel hard to find or goals feel unclear. As a level 5 Somatics Informed Trauma Therapist we can explore practical approaches that can help with managing your feelings and sensations, often as a result of our thoughts.

Whether you are feeling anxious, a bit lost, weighed down by anxiety, depression stress or trauma, or unsure where to begin, we’ll start together from wherever you are. I’m not here to fix you. I believe you already hold the strength to heal, even if it feels distant right now.

ay. These elements are used in a way that fits naturally into our work, always guided by what feels most helpful for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor with a background in mental health support. I have also worked for nearly 4 years as a Senior Mental Health Outreach Worker, for a mental health charity within Hertfordshire. Supporting people with complex needs such as bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, BPD traits and a range of other emotional and psychological challenges. Alongside my formal counselling training I've also taken part in a wide variety of short courses and specialist training through the charity, which continues to inform my work in the therapy room.
