About me

I am an experienced counsellor based in Chepstow and Tetbury working with adults and children from primary school age. I offer a warm and supportive environment to explore issues you are worried about. Many people find talking to an independent person, who is there just for them, helps them to solve problems more quickly.

I trained as a Person Centred counsellor but over the years have developed a number of different approaches that can be tailored to suit your needs such as cognitive behavioural therapy and solution focused therapy. This means that if you are a person who needs more time and space to talk about  your concerns and challenges I can offer you that.  If however you are someone who needs help to work things through with focused mini steps in order to achieve your goal, this too is available.

When working with children I work in a child centered way using play therapy or, depending on the age of the child, I may work using a mix of play therapy as well as solution focused and CBT approaches

I work on Monday and Tuesday and offer a no obligation first session after which it is totally up to you if you would like to book another appointment.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

As a qualified supervisor, counsellor and trainer of counselling qualifications, I have a particular passion for working with trainee and newly qualified counsellors.  I know how much time, money and personal dedication it takes to qualify let alone find paid work as a counsellor.  My mission therefore is to offer trainee and newly trained counsellors low cost supervision at £25.00 per 1.5 hour session until they start earning money as a counsellor.
