About me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile.

Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, work or personal relationship challenges or any number of related mental health issues, I offer a warm welcoming space where you can feel heard and understood.

I will always give you my full attention and take a genuine interest in understanding the obstacles that may be preventing you from achieving what you hope for through counselling.

I have over 10 years experience working  in private practice with many different people from all walks of life. During that time most clients have reported significant positive improvements in how they see themselves. Many have gained new perspectives on past challenges and have developed a greater confidence and clarity in finding their own solutions.

Over the years I have trained in several counselling approaches, including 'Person Centered', 'Gestalt', Psychodynamic and 'Healing the Inner Child'. I also use creative methods to support self-reflection and self-compassion, helping you develop new insights and build a clearer, healthier relationship with yourself.

Together, we can explore where unhelpful beliefs may have come from and begin making meaningful change.

I offer a complimentary, no obligation 30 minute conversation to explain my approach, answer any questions you may have and to discover whether I would be the right counsellor for you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a lot of experience working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma and are finding that it can impact their relationships and they way they see themselves.

I use transaction analysis and various forms of creative therapy to help you to reconnect with and build an understanding of the child you once were.

This type of counselling is very effective and really does change the way we see  ourselves. It can be very empowering as it builds confidence to take back control of our lives.
