About me

If you find that life feels like there is something missing and your confidence to trust your decisions is left to others for fear of getting it wrong,  I can help you to  to build a trust in yourself to make your own decisions without fear of judgement or blame and to rediscover your fun side, where life becomes brighter.

I can help you to understand why you may be sabotaging certain aspects of your life, like your dreams, your Health and even your relationships. Understanding that part of you, will give you back control and enable you to remove the obstacles standing in your way.

Together we can open a pathway to a more positive perspective of yourself that leads to a more fulfilling life.

I offer a warm friendly welcome where you can speak freely and safely and you are accepted without judgement. Your confidentiality will be assured within the terms of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) of which I am a member. I am DBS checked and I am fully insured.

I can draw upon Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Gestalt with creative techniques to maximise and enhance your Counselling Experience.

Please contact me for an informal chat, if after speaking, you would like to take the next step then we can agree a suitable time where we can have an hour long counselling session to discuss the matter in detail. I look forward to hearing from you by phone, text or email. Annette

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I can help adults who have experienced a challenging childhood.

The child we once were doesn't disappear, they still exist within us.

I can work creatively to help you to reconnect and build an understanding with your child within, this can enable you to discover a more fulfilling life and relationship with You.

This type of therapy alters the way we speak to ourselves, we become more conscious of our own needs leading to a much more positive view of ourselves,

My clients describe this type of counselling as powerful and liberating.
