'Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful humans on earth, for what they believe is what they will become' Brook Hampton
When people come to me for counselling, many of them will tell me that they have lost their confidence, self-belief, self-worth etc. Some seem confused when I ask them about their childhood, some even ask ' why do we have to go back there?.
Losing anything requires retracing your steps to find it. lets take a key. If you lost your key, I would ask you when was the last time you remember having it? Then, I can help you to look and find the key to your confidence, self belief etc. Anything we lost has to be retraced. Some people find it painful to go back but I will be right beside you to support you along the way.
I am trained in 'Healing the Inner Child'. This means that when we go back to your childhood, we might find unresolved issues that are still impacting on the way you feel about yourself today. It could be your reactions to things are excessive or you might feel you don't know how to control your emotions, These are all the things that I can help you with, to rebuild the relationship you have with yourself. I might ask for a photo of you as a child to see how you feel about your younger self.
I can help you to understand emotions, the ones that serve us and the ones that don't.
Most of my clients come from recommendations from people I have worked with, who have experienced a big improvement in how they see themselves and their understanding of others.
I recently released my book, 'The Cycle of Life' (A.M. Pearl), this book is so easy to understand. It takes you back to your childhood to see the world through the eyes of the child you once were. There is some inner child work and I share some of my own life challenges. If you are interested in understanding the factors contributing to the decline in mental health and learning how we can protect children from experiencing depression, aggression or anxiety throughout their lives, this book offers valuable insights.
If you haven't tried creative therapy before, contact me and we can have a chat (free of charge and with no obligation). Then if it feels right, we can take it from there. I look forward to hearing from you, warm regards Annette

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
