About me
Hi, I'm Anne Lewis, and I'm a psychotherapist working online across the UK. I help couples where neurodivergence is part of the picture.
I know it can take courage to seek therapy, so I am really pleased that you are taking this step for your relationship.
In therapy I help people to understand how they are showing up in their relationships, providing them with the space to slow things down and begin to make sense of the patterns between them.
I work with couples to help them find better ways of communicating.
I help couples navigate conflict more constructively and learn how to repair and reconnect after disagreements.
I help people with:
- Couples where one or both partners have ADHD, autism, or mixed neurodivergence
- Communication difficulties – feeling unheard, misunderstood, or stuck in the same arguments
- Rejection sensitivity (RSD) and emotional reactivity
- Conflict and recurring relationship patterns
- Emotional disconnection
- Anxiety
- Imposter syndrome
- Perfectionism and high self-expectations
- Differences in emotional needs or communication styles
- Overthinking and rumination in relationships
- People-pleasing and not knowing how to get their needs met
- Navigating neurodivergence in relationships
- Trust, repair, and rebuilding connection
- Exploring relationship structures, including ethical non-monogamy or polyamory
About My Approach
I specialise in therapy for couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent. I have lived experience with ADHD and autism, so I understand the unique dynamics it can bring into relationships, particularly with regard to communication.
I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and it is therefore important to me that I, and the other therapists at VIVA, provide therapy that is affirming and inclusive.
My goal is to offer therapy that’s empowering as well as practical. It’s a confidential, judgment-free space where you can work through whatever is coming up in your relationship.
How I Work
The first three sessions are structured for assessment and feedback. In our first session, I'll guide you through the process so you know what to expect and you can share with me what's going on for you as a couple.
The second and third sessions are individual sessions for each of you, which will help us to understand what we need to focus on, before we come back together in the fourth session.
What to Expect
- Sessions are 60 minutes long
- Held online using Google Meet
- Fee: £110 per session
I offer therapy for as long as you are finding it helpful, but I recommend allowing for at least 6-10 sessions initially. Some couples then move to fortnightly sessions, and then to monthly sessions, until they feel ready to stop therapy. It's your therapy, so you can stop, or take a break, whenever you both feel ready to do that.
Get in touch and book your first session with me, and start getting back to the relationship you both want.
