About me

Hello, my name is Annalisa and I’m a qualified Integrative Transpersonal counsellor currently offering sessions in Finsbury Park.

Welcome to my profile. Take a moment to read through the below, and get in touch if you wish to discuss things further.

What has brought you here? You might seek therapy because you have a clear sense of what’s wrong, or perhaps you can’t quite put your finger on it just yet.

Whatever it is, something is seeking to be heard.

In our sessions together, I will sit alongside you and listen with care and openness to the parts of your story that are in need of attention.

Drawing on my training at Re-Vision and my own experience of therapy, I work creatively and intuitively, making space for heart, mind, body and soul to find expression through imagination, stories/myths, drawings and bodywork.

My approach is a blend of different schools of thought, which allows for a holistic exploration of how past events and patterns are impacting you in the present whilst also listening out for what is seeking to emerge from deep within you.

Acknowledging the many cultural and socio-political dimensions that are at play inside and outside the therapy room, I honour and work with the intersections of the personal and the collective as well as the impact of that which is passed intergenerationally.

I know that sharing deeply personal parts of ourselves with a stranger can feel daunting, so we will move at a pace that feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision
  • BSc in Psychology from Birkbeck University

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

If you would like to work with me, please drop me an email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 2-3 working days), offering a date/time for our first session, which will be charged at £35.

During our first session there will be space for you to tell me more about what brings you to therapy, ask me any questions you might have, and discuss anything else that feels important to you.

I might also ask you some questions, and tell you more about what you can expect from working with me.

This will give us the opportunity to feel into whether, and how, we would like to continue working together.
