About me
I'm Anna, a therapist who gets what it's like to live with bereavement, tangled thoughts and anxious feelings.
I can support you in exploring your patterns, looking at why you find it hard to ask for help, overthink, people-please, or strive for perfection. With new awareness comes new possibilities.
I often find myself supporting people who want to change their relationship to anxiety and stress, and as a result, feel more capable and trusting of themselves.
If you are grieving, I honour your loss and provide a space for you to process and express your unique experience.
Whatever your reason for coming to therapy, I offer a compassionate perspective as you find a way forward that feels authentic and aligns with your values and goals.
Conversations in therapy are unlike those with others, even those with the people closest to us. I am dedicated to coming alongside people as they do the work of processing and healing. A strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for our work together. I hope you find me to be calm, warm, accepting, curious, and gently challenging when needed.
I believe your story is unique and nuanced; I take time to understand what is important to you. Therapy can support you in feeling safer in your mind and body, so you can be more present in your life, whether that's at home, at work, socialising, or simply walking the dog.
I work with people of all faiths and none. I welcome all stages of life and backgrounds and care deeply about creating a space for honest conversations. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, and I offer gentle, affirming support - no diagnoses needed.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer short and long-term therapy sessions. I consider 6-8 sessions to be a short-term commitment. I offer a free introductory call that lasts up to 20 minutes so you can ask me any questions before deciding to start therapy with me.
I'm happy to meet face-to-face and online, or combine both.
I work with adults over 18.
I work from a space in Jesmond, NE2, that is private and cosy. There is free 2-hour parking nearby, it's near the city centre and is a 5-minute walk from the Metro.
