About me
Anxiety, depression, ADHD, conflicts internal and external - it is all welcome here. Whether you're just feeling out of sorts and lost in some way or existential and struggling to find the meaning in anything - all of those parts of you can come to rest in a space of understanding and connection.
Together we look at what has happened to you rather than what is wrong with you...
Being a human is tough. I am trained to help this existence feel easier and help you through it. Your inner world and your body are your home in this life. Let's make it feel a good place to live in. My manifesto, as a therapist to you, dear future client is this:
I come to you with a promise of hope.
What ever cruddy feeling or lived experience you're going through does have an end and there absolutely is the possibility to feel better.
In safe environment for You and your system of parts.
I stand beside you, as your confidante.
We will treat each other with respect. I will help you feel more connected and calmer, which in turn will help you feel better about your outside world.
I am right by your side, wing-woman or brothers-in-arms to support making whatever you’re going through feel better on the inside.
I am here to support the untangling of the burdens of your most private self.
Qualities I associate with a confidant, wing-woman and or brother-in-arms:
Unwavering dedication to supporting you out of the thing you feel stuck in.
Someone who doesn’t judgement your essence and will also gently challenge you to explore if there is anything you might not be seeing about a matter.
A willingness to connect you back to yourself and help you through.
I will not label your feelings or assume I know better than you when it comes to You.
The possibility for insight and change:
I believe within you are the answers to what has happened which will give you a greater sense of what is important in your present life. I will support this process along side you.
As your therapist I will bring to you tools I have learned and gathered along the way of my decade of experience to offer solutions as well as healing.
Commitment to making repairs
Due to the nature of being human, there may be times when I get something wrong. In these cases I am committed to understanding what went wrong and the ways needed to feel better again.
A repair is so important to me, as often times through life we have not been given or allowed what we really need, and by making a repair we learn a valuable thing about parts of us and their backstories too. I value the growth of connection of understanding what happened to you.
You have permission to: push back and challenge me. This is a space for understanding those feelings you have that don't get to often get to see the light of day and often we keep in the shadows. You do not have to caretake anyone but yourself in our sessions, and I will co facilitate an environment to explore what is happening.
You will be held in fondness and care. I am curious to your system and would like to inspire your own curiosity to yourself so we can bring the deep healing to make long lasting change.
To you, I promise to hold up the golden lantern of hope, for long lasting change. I offer an unwavering willingness to help, to stand by your side in times of hardships and also celebrate in living well.
So this, I give to you, the one thing we all needed as children: patience and the grace to explore. An opportunity for you to get to know your nervous system, who you are at your physical fibres and unwavering compassion.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am comfortable working with those who may have a diagnosis (such as 'borderline personality disorder' 'depression' or 'OCD'). I believe these diagnoses or labels are parts of us, grouped together that have an intention to protect us.
For me a 'disorder' is a medical label used to catagorise people, which helps makes sense of the world and human patterns. Humans are not born 'disordered'. This language can be dis-empowering, as those diagnosed cannot change and are beyond repair. This is simply not the case. Change is possible, especially with IFS.
We are a system of parts and our life trauma expresses itself through personality traits which we have developed in order to help us survive or cope. These are all understandable experiences which I would like to help encourage you towards getting to know as part of your wider system.

I appreciate therapy can seem costly - investing in our wellbeing can bring about its own sense of uncomfortableness, especially with the current cost of living. Living inside of yourself is your lifetime and so I hope to help make this life time one that feels good, peaceful and comfortable internally. You are a worthy investment, when we are good within ourselves the rest of life flows.
I offer a free half hour phone or teams consultation for you to get a sense of what it would be like to have sessions together. It is an opportunity for me to hear more about yourself and for you to get a vibe of how I work as a therapist.
