About me
Hello I’m Anna, welcome to my profile. I'm an Edinburgh based person-centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering a compassionate and welcoming space for you to pause, prioritise yourself and work through whatever challenges you are facing.
I firmly believe you are the expert in your own life. I view my role as offering a supportive, nurturing environment where you feel able to begin to explore your emotions and experiences and find a way forward - whatever that may mean for you. I offer a non-judgemental, inclusive space that accepts you as you are and welcomes whatever you wish to bring to the sessions. At the heart of my work is the belief that the relationship we build together, based on trust, empathy and acceptance, creates room for open and genuine connection.
You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, challenging life events and transitions, or relationship issues. Maybe you want to explore past events, are experiencing low self-esteem, feel stuck or confused and want to make sense of how you feel. Wherever you are, I will meet and support you so that you can develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.
Deciding to start therapy can be daunting but by reading my profile you have already taken the important first step towards feeling better. I will work alongside you, at your own pace, with care and respect, to help you begin your healing process.
If you would like to find out more, please reach out and contact me for an initial chat (free of charge) to explore if working together feels like the right fit.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
