About me
Whether it’s gambling, social media, pornography, compulsive shopping, countless hours spent at work, substance misuse or drinking to cope, all of these share the same root: an unmet need stemming from emotional pain. As adults, this can present as anxiety, depression, impulsive behaviours or low self-esteem. People with ADHD can be more susceptible to addiction issues, and I can offer a safe space to process this.
I can help you get to the heart of the hurt, find your resilience and reconnect with the joy in your life.
I offer a one-to-one, confidential counselling service both online and in-person, using an integrated approach with techniques such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and MI (motivational interviewing) to illicit change.

Training, qualifications & experience
My experience as a therapist specialising in addiction spans almost two decades. I obtained a 1st Class Honours Degree in Addictions Counselling from the University of Bath and I'm also an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (MNCPS Accred) and Addiction Professionals. I received robust training at the Centre for Addictions Treatment Studies and have worked as therapist in many renowned private and non-profit residential treatment centres, locally commissioned structured day programmes and aftercare facilities. As an associate counsellor for private treatment organisations, I am proficient in 1:1 counselling and supervision. My supervision training was at the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD London) by Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot. Modules studied were Core supervision, Therapeutic supervision/Seven-Eyed model, Group supervision and Advanced/Integration supervision.
I have both worldwide and UK-based clients and supervisees on my private practice caseload.
