About me
I offer a friendly, one-to-one, confidential counselling and supervision service both online worldwide and in-person in Christchurch and Bournemouth. I work with many renowned treatment facilities as an associate therapist, specialising in areas such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem and addictions. I am also clinical supervisor to therapists at The Priory.
Whether it’s gambling, social media, pornography, compulsive shopping, countless hours spent at work, substance misuse or drinking to cope, all of these share the same root: an unmet need stemming from emotional pain. As adults, this can present as anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviours or low self-esteem. People with ADHD can be more susceptible to addiction issues, and I offer a safe space to process this.
I can help you get to the heart of the hurt, find your resilience and reconnect with the joy in your life. I understand first-hand how much courage it takes to ask for help, and have been in recovery myself since 2007.

Training, qualifications & experience
My experience as a psychotherapist with a specialism in addiction spans almost two decades. I have a 1st Class Honours Degree in Addictions Counselling from the University of Bath and I'm also an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Accred) and Addiction Professionals. I have worked as a therapist in many high-profile private and non-profit residential treatment centres, locally commissioned structured day programmes and aftercare facilities. As an affiliate counsellor for many private treatment facilities, I am proficient in 1:1 counselling.
I have both worldwide and UK-based clients on my private practice caseload, many of whom are high- achieving Fulbright scholars. However, I’m equally welcoming of Dorset locals who need some in-person (or online) support to see them through a difficult spell.
