About me

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist working with children, young people and adults in the UK, with a professional background in psychology. I offer a warm, confidential and straightforward approach to therapy, combining a person-centred foundation with evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT.

Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. I will listen carefully, but I will also offer thoughtful input, practical strategies and a fresh perspective when helpful. You will not be left to talk on your own without direction. Together, we can understand what may be keeping you stuck and work towards meaningful, realistic and sustainable change.

You may be feeling anxious, low in mood, burnt out, overwhelmed, angry, ashamed, or unsure how to talk to anyone about what is really going on. I support clients with anxiety, panic, intrusive thoughts, OCD, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, relationship and family difficulties, trauma, neurodivergence, autism burnout and general emotional distress.

Alongside my clinical work, I also bring experience from around 15 years in private companies, which has given me a real understanding of workplace pressure, high expectations, burnout, difficult professional relationships and how easily wellbeing can be pushed aside when you are trying to keep going.

I am a neuro-affirming practitioner and support clients with ADHD, autism, AuDHD and the emotional impact of navigating life as a neurodivergent person. I aim to offer therapy that feels respectful, practical and tailored to who you are, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), and I work in line with professional standards for ethics, confidentiality and data protection.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, but you do not have to do it alone. I offer a safe and compassionate space where you can feel heard, supported and able to reconnect with yourself.

I warmly invite you to get in touch for an initial consultation to explore how therapy may support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I appreciate that it is hard to make the first contact, but you will feel reassured once you have spoken to me, and this will put your mind at rest before the initial meeting.
