About me
I am a caring and empathetic qualified person centred psychotherapist specialising in Gestalt psychotherapy. I can empathise with how hard it must be for you to begin this process and get to this point. I provide a safe space for you to be listened to and heard. My aim is to support you in your personal growth and managing the challenges that you are going through in your life. I can promise you that you are not alone in the counselling process with me, I am always right beside you. I have worked with many clients that have faced abuse, depression, anxiety and stress and together we have worked through this to support you to feel safe and whole.
I work with all age groups, backgrounds, ethnicity and clients with a corporate background. I also specialise in trauma recovery therapy particularly with client that have experienced sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence.
I am available online and I also have safe space in Southend and Leigh-on-Sea for face to face sessions.
I am a registered member of the BACP and I am also accredited, this assures that I work under the ethical frame work for counsellors and that I have reached the highest level of psychotherapy.
Gestalt psychotherapy focuses on raising your awareness in order to gain a better understanding of how your emotional and physical needs are connected. It allows you to be aware of your internal self which is the key to understanding why you react and behave in certain ways.
I work with you to look at you as a whole person, not just the words you say. Together we seek to understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours. The aim is to free you from blocks that could inhibit how you walk in the world.
Training, qualifications & experience
I started my training at The Gestalt Centre in London and completed a certificate in Humanistic Counselling, a Diploma in Professional Development. I then continued my training at The Albany Centre where I completed a Professional Diploma in Gestalt Counselling.
I decided to then train in Trauma Recovery Therapy and I am currently a therapy lead in a Trauma Organisation supporting clients who have experienced sexual abuse, sexual assaults, rape, domestic violence and co-ercive control. I do this alongside my private practice work.
I have also trained in offering trauma therapy to clients with addiction and I currently work with clients to deliver trauma focused therapy that have substance addiction.
I have recently completed training working with children and young people from the ages of 4 years old to 17 years old.
I have worked at Watford Women's Centre as a volunteer counsellor supporting women in and out of abusive relationships, depression and historical sexual abuse. I have also volunteered at other counselling services to support clients with depression, stress and relationship breakdowns.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
