About me
I am a certified psychodynamic psychotherapist for adults aged 21 and over. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
My clinical experience covers working with issues around relationships, identity, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, work performance and creativity.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy includes exploring rooted problems and behavioural patterns that are repeated through life to help understand the influence of your past on present behaviour and emotions. This can be a very powerful process and allow you to make changes in your life that bring you closer to the life you wish to live.
I am in currently on a placement at Imperial NHS offering Psychosexual therapy to couples and individuals. Privately, I am also taking clients for relationship and psychosexual work. Please get in touch if you are interested.
Choosing the right therapist involves finding someone you can trust and work with. I offer an initial free 20-minute consultation on the phone. This will be an opportunity for you to talk in confidence about why you are seeking psychotherapy help and I can introduce you to how I work. Should you wish, we would then agree a 50 minute first session to talk in more detail about your therapy needs and expectations as well as to get a sense of how it might feel to work together. If therapy and working with me feels fitting, we would agree on whether time limited or open ended would best suit your needs.
I offer both “in the room” and online sessions. Sessions run for 50 minutes once weekly, on the same day and at the same time as consistency is important to the work. I offer time-limited or open-ended therapy, either online or in face-to-face weekly sessions.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) and FPC (Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling). I abide by their code of ethics and practice which includes ongoing supervision and personal development (CPD).
I am covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
I trained at WPF Therapy, one of the leading providers of psychodynamic psychotherapy training and therapy services in the UK.
I am currently on an honorary placement at Imperial NHS working as a psychosexual therapist with couples and individuals. I am a member of COSRT.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
