About me
I am a psychodynamic counsellor offering counselling for adults in North London and online. My approach is thoughtful, containing and reflective, with a focus on understanding rather than quick fixes.
People often come to counselling because something no longer feels manageable in the way it once did. This may include anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, bereavement, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling stuck. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong.
Often, counselling begins with a feeling that something does not feel right, settled or fully understood.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a psychodynamic counsellor registered with the BACP, working with adults experiencing a range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties.
Alongside my private practice, I also work as a staff counsellor within a counselling organisation in North London.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
In our work together, we may think about recurring relationship patterns, anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, shame, grief, emotional overwhelm, difficulties expressing feelings, life transitions, stress, burnout, identity, self-worth, or feeling emotionally stuck or disconnected.
Psychodynamic counselling is not about being fixed or judged. It is a collaborative process in which we pay attention not only to what is happening in your life now, but also to how earlier experiences and relationships may continue to shape your emotional experience in the present.
Some people come for shorter-term work focused on a particular difficulty, while others choose longer-term counselling to explore deeper or more longstanding patterns. We can discuss what may be most helpful for you and review the work as it develops.
