About me
Hello, I'm Ann, I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor based in Norwich, Norfolk. With over 12 years experience Counselling and 20 years working in Mental Health and Social Care.
Working using an integrative approach, means that I have a lot of experience in many different types of counselling, and I tailor my approach to the individual and your unique needs. I consider you as the whole person and have you at the very centre of all our work. I am always led by you, to keep you safe and grounded.
Are you struggling to understand your feelings?
Are you wondering why you feel this way?
feeling confused?
I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore any worries or concerns that you have. I'm able to combine hypnotherapy for relaxation, increasing self-esteem, improving sleep, reducing anxiety and to focus on goal achievement; Mindfulness can also be helpful with anxiety, giving you coping mechanisms and grounding techniques for managing panic attacks and anxiety. Whilst also working out what may be causing them or triggering you.
Getting started.
It is important for you to connect with your Counsellor, so I offer an initial consultation for up to 50 minutes, to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you and have the right skills to support and guide you. This allows you to discuss your concerns, understand how I work and for us both to decide if we would like to work together.
The first session is at a reduced fee of £40. All following sessions would be £50 for a 55 minute session, but I do offer some limited concessions.
I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, students and people who have or are relatives/partners of people with learning disabilities and chronic health conditions, like: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME, Long Covid etc. I also work with relationship issues, stress and generalised anxiety, grief, abuse, bereavement, anger, low self-esteem, family issues, self-defeating behaviours (such as habits), eating disorders and goal achievement. I work with individuals who have ADHD, ADD and Autism, to help them find ways of coping or giving support whilst waiting for an assessment.
I hope you will allow me to be part of your journey.
I look forward to hearing from you...just send me an email or a text.
