About me

I have been a therapist in private practice for over ten years and offer a respectful and confidential space in which to explore your life and talk about your current concerns. I will not give advice or judge you, but listen carefully and attempt, through my questions and reflections, to help you make sense of your situation and identify opportunities for change.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I have been trained in a range of theories and approaches, which I incorporate into my work. I place particular emphasis on relationships, past and present, and my work is informed by the awareness of how early trauma can impact us in the present day. Identity, and understanding how it affects the way we relate to others and the world around us, is important to me. Some of the influences on my work are body psychotherapy and nervous system regulation; attachment, existential, humanistic, and psychodynamic theories.

When working with couples and pairs, I seek to understand how you communicate and where conflict arises, and what this means for each partner, always without judgement. My experience is that if a space can be created where each can dare to be honest and be listened to, there is the potential for change and transformation. It is also my experience with couples that past trauma can affect relating in the present day, and that the processing of this that is needed, so that it does not interrupt contact between you, can take place in therapy.

I have worked with many clients of different ages and backgrounds, including many whose first language is not English. These are some of the issues that I have had experience of dealing with: life transitions, divorce, bereavement, betrayal and infidelity, understanding family dynamics, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, loneliness, identity issues, feeling different, life crisis, intimacy problems, low self-esteem, and desire to understand dreams.

Training, qualifications & experience

I obtained my Master's Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at The Minster Centre.

I am also a clinical supervisor working with individuals and small groups, and a trainer and supervisor at The Minster Centre. I hold a Diploma in Clinical Supervision with an Intersectional Lens from TA East, London.

My experience has shown me that reasons for seeking therapy are not always that easy to define or categorise, and so you are welcome to contact me even if what is listed above does not speak to you.
