Supervision details
I work from an integrative relational perspective through the lens of difference. I will support and challenge you in a respectful way through my curiosity and observations, attention to transference and countertransference, reflective practice, exploration of ethical and moral dilemmas, attention to boundaries, and more.
Working relationally means that, whilst holding the client in mind, I am also interested in your personal process and what is evoked for you in your work. I also pay attention to the dynamic between us in supervision and how that may be significant to your work and the dynamics that emerge there.
I believe that difference has an impact on our work and that it is important to explore and understand how this may be in the room, even if it is not named explicitly.
In addition to working in private practice, I am a trainer and supervisor at The Minster Centre in London. I have a lot of experience working with trainees and am a Recognised Training Supervisor with the UKCP.
I have contributed a chapter to Therapists Challenging Racism and Oppression, edited by N. Zahid & R. Cooke (PCCS Books 2023).
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
