About me
Hello. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor but use an integrated approach to suit your needs. I work face-to-face, online and by phone.
I offer you a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you are free to share all your worries and concerns. I will seek to understand the unique individual that you are, then together we can explore solutions which will enable you to move forward. Counselling is a place to connect with your full potential.
I offer sessions in a series of 7 commencing with an assessment. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation prior to booking so we can get to know a little about each other as it is important you feel comfortable.
Here is review from a recent client:
'If you think therapy is just aimless talking, think again! I came to Angela with a very specific brief. I wanted to safely process some trauma, learn practical coping skills for anxiety, and to experience this within a Christian context where my faith was supported and encouraged. I was surprised to leave the online session feeling more rested and lighter each time.
Angela had a wide range of techniques and methods to facilitate and deliver this and all within a seven week timeframe which felt more like a self initiated plan. Definitely not fruitless self-examination!
I felt respected, heard and enabled to flourish. Angela's ability to hold hope and project affirming belief is really special. She handles everything professionally and with real empathy.
Angela isn't just for you she is with you in the journey. If you are looking for a safe and welcoming experience with real results, Angela's expertise and methods may just be that match you are searching for,'

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
