About me
Hi, I'm Angela, I am a qualified BACP accredited Psychodynamic therapist. I have worked in a variety of settings, seeing clients for short and long term work.
There are many reasons why people seek therapy, and sometimes people wait many years with something that troubles them before seeking help. Are you suffering from anxiety or depression or something else?
I am here to help.
I believe that therapy can improve whatever is troubling you. I can offer you the opportunity to discuss what you may not be able to share elsewhere in a safe confidential space with myself as an objective listener. This, in turn can help you to recognise what the real issues are and to gradually become more emotionally resilient, able to cope and make changes if desired.
Some of your troubles may come from historical problems and conflicts re-emerging. Increased self-awareness can give you the opportunity to move away from the resulting patterns and repetitions and to really be in charge of your life. As well as dealing with the past, therapy provides the space to give some attention to your current relationships and how you wish to pursue your life.
People are extremely varied in what they desire, what troubles them and what makes them happier. Each therapy has to reflect the unique needs of each person, and I believe that anyone can benefit from discussing what is meaningful to them and what they want from their life. I've worked with people from many different backgrounds, and I'm sensitive to the wide variety of different cultural values and lifestyles of each client that I see.
Getting started.
I understand that it can be very hard to take the first step but you can be sure of a sincere and genuinely caring response in my practice. Contact me by telephone or email if you need any further information, I look forward to meeting you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
