About me
Therapy is a gift to yourself. It's a time and place in the week where you can learn more about yourself, what excites you and what drains your energy.
I believe that the goal of therapy is to help you live your life more spontaneously; to be less held back by what came before, and less afraid of what's the come.
I am an integrative therapist, so I work with different traditions and techniques to help you get to the truth of who you are. And I am relational, so I believe that our relationship can shine a light on what might be happening in other relationships in your life.
I work with a range of clients an issues, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ community and those affected by stress, burnout and insomnia. I also do a lot of work on shame, low self-esteem and boarding school syndrome.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have qualified with the BACP, after training at the Minster Centre. I am currently completing my Masters.
I work with whatever my clients bring. Therapy is your space to explore what you need to. That said, I’ve developed a few niches based on the particular flavour of training and experiences that I’ve had and done.
Stress and burnout
Many of us find our lives being taken over by our work, our activism, or the daily run of endless tasks. This can lead us feeling joyless, uninspired, ineffective and cynical. It can even lead to depersonalisation – the feeling that you are watching your life, rather than being part of it.
I work with people experiencing burnout to help them through this period of their life. I’ve helped them connect to more joy in their lives and manage more effectively whatever in their life is draining them. Together, we’ve explored and connected to a new sense of purpose and mission.
I also work directly with activists, on this and similar issues. If you are part of an activist group, I can help you sustain yourself for the important work that you do.
Insomnia
Trouble sleeping affects many people. It sucks energy and vitality from your life and can make existing problems feel worse. If you suffer from insomnia, you’ll know this.
I’ll work with you on a CBT-I programme. This is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia, and is considered the gold standard of insomnia treatment. We can work together to move you away from sleep hygiene hacks, coffee abstinence or endless supplements. I can help you improve your sleep for good.
LGBTQ+ people
The world is an increasingly hostile place for queer people. Therapy with me is not. This is a safe space where you can explore the fullness of who you are without judgement.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
