About me
My name is Andrea, and I’m an Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapist based in Hinckley, offering both online and in‑person sessions. I specialise in supporting couples who feel overwhelmed by conflict or you've both disconnected after months or years of stress, distance, or emotional strain from financial, work, family or parenting challenges.
Many couples who come to me describe feeling stuck in painful patterns, arguments that escalate too quickly, long silences that feel heavy, or a sense that they’ve become strangers in their own relationship and all the fun and laughter has somehow been lost along the way.
Others are trying to rebuild after a betrayal, including emotional or online infidelity, and are grieving the loss of trust and closeness.
A central part of my work is helping couples communicate more effectively, and really start to understand each other’s emotional world and gently reconnect with the warmth and love they once shared. When partners feel safe enough to speak honestly and listen with openness, something shifts, and the relationship begins to feel hopeful again.
If any of this resonates, you’re not alone. These struggles are deeply human, and they are all things we can work through together.
High‑Conflict Couples Counselling
When conflict becomes the norm, it can feel like you’re constantly bracing for the next argument. Small disagreements turn into big ruptures, leaving both partners feeling unheard or misunderstood. I help couples slow the cycle down, understand what’s driving the intensity, and communicate in ways that feel safer and more connecting.
Infidelity Recovery Therapy
Infidelity, physical, emotional, or online, can shake the foundations of a relationship. One partner may feel devastated; the other may feel ashamed or afraid of losing everything. I guide couples through the delicate process of healing, rebuilding trust, and creating a more secure bond without any judgment.
Intimacy Repair
When intimacy fades, it can leave both partners feeling lonely or unsure how to reach for each other again. I help couples understand the emotional blocks that make closeness difficult and rebuild the connection that allows intimacy to return naturally.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
