About me

Hello, my name is Amy.

I am a fully insured and qualified BACP Accredited counselling practitioner.

Deciding whether Counselling is for you can be a fearful thought in itself. Its very common that you may feel confused as to what counselling is and can offer or what sort of problems warrant Counselling.

There are times in everyone's life in which things can feel like they have got too much, you may feel stuck, have issues in the past that you may feel you need to work with and there maybe issues with depression, anxiety and stress.

Whatever the reason, talking about these difficulties can be beneficial and help you to make the changes you wish to make in your life or help you through them by exploring what's going on for you in a supportive, safe environment.

I am trained and work in an integrative way, using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred approaches to enhance the work I do. I think it is important to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual as I do not believe that one approach is appropriate for everyone. As a counsellor, I will not tell you what to do or take control of your life. I will be non-judgemental, accept you unconditionally and will support you through your journey of self discovery, empowering you to take control of your life. I will provide a confidential and safe environment for you to work in.

Why choose me for counselling?
