Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist MBACP Dip

About me

Hello, my name is Amy, I am an Integrative counsellor and Psychotherapist offering counselling for anywhere in the UK - ( Also outside of the Farnborough area)

I work from a Person Centred, Humanistic model of therapy, using Existential elements to support a warm, welcoming, non judgmental and safe space on your onward journey of counselling.

Life can be difficult and unsure, we sometimes can easily feel we lose our connection with ourselves and life itself, forgetting the importance of feeling heard, which is empowering in itself. I understand it can be so very difficult to reach out and talk to someone.

My background is working in mental health, where I have been lucky enough to offer support in the private sector and charity sector and now currently within the NHS.

My experience has been invaulable due to having an understanding of mental health conditions ,along with working with addictions and wellbeing .

Due to my experience, I offer a unique support in practice, along with my qualifications and skills. I also work with Anxiety, which can be debilitating in being able to move forward in life.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapists) and therefore follow their professional & ethical framework.

Your journey can right start here, with a free initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained to a level 4 Dip in Counselling, with an extensive background in mental health.

I am registered as MBACP counsellor.

I have worked in a college with young adults from age 15, and for an addictions charity counselling. My experience comes from working in the private sector and the NHS.

Currently, I also work for the NHS, working with individuals experiencing challenging mental health.

I also continue on my own journey of qualifications and CPD's in the specialist areas I have chosen to work with, in bereavement and working with children and young adults.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
