About me
We all have parts of ourselves that we don't understand or dislike. Maybe had a life experience that has shaped us in a way that isn't healthy. There could be many reasons that you are searching here today but the one thing we all share is, we want to be 'seen', we want to be 'heard' and feel empowered to move forward in life with confidence.
In life we can reach a point where everything can feel heavy, like a huge struggle, you may be experiencing grief, anxiety, depression or you may have experienced a form of abuse. You might want to improve personal and professional relationships or have family issues you would like to work through. Through counselling, you will learn the necessary tools to set boundaries, build your self-worth, improve your relationship with self and with others and learn to accept yourself.
I offer a safe, empathetic and non-judgmental space for you to work through whatever it is that may be causing you difficulty in your life. I offer counselling mainly using a person-centred approach. However, I will sometimes use different methods if I feel it could benefit you and help you work through something that you might feel 'stuck on'. I am a qualified EFT Practitioner, so sometimes I may combine this into a session if it's something you're comfortable having. EFT can be helpful for mental health difficulties and also physcial health conditions such as headaches, fibromyalgia, ME/CES and general aches and pains.
I have experience in working with perinatal mental health. I have worked in the Mother and Baby Unit as a peer support worker and at Norfolk and Waveney Mind as a Team Leader for the Evening Sanctuary at the Rest Hub. I also work in a college as a counsellor for students aged 16+. I will work with anyone over the age of 14. I specialise in working with clients who have experienced birth trauma, baby/child loss, pregnancy choices, post-natal depression/anxiety, PTSD/CPTSD. This is an area where there is a huge demand for extra support and I have such a passion for working in this sector. I also specialise in working with young people. However, I am open to working with any clients, these are just my areas of expertise.
I offer 50-minute counselling sessions in person in King's Lynn, online or over the telephone. Please get in touch today for a free 20-minute consultation to see what it is you require and so we can discuss your options. l also offer concessionary rates for those on a low income or experiencing financial hardship. Please mention this during your consultation. There is no judgment and I will always do my best to accommodate you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
