  • Neurodiversity & Mental Health: ADHD, Autism, OCD.
  • Suspected eating disorders.
  • Self-Discovery: Navigating major transitions and untangling life's big questions.
  • Faith: Relationships, struggles, hurt.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a school counsellor in a secondary school in Derby, working with Young People and for a Christian counselling organisation working with Adults.

Qualified - Dip. Couns. Currently studying the MA in Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy and Supervision at Waverley Abbey College.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACC
Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC)

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

How we would work together

I work integratively, drawing from the Psychotherapeutic modality of Schema therapy. I often use Art therapy techniques and Psychoeducation to root causes and current issues, and use CBT techniques to make changes to improve life going forward.

I am a Christian, but would only bring faith into the counselling room if a client specifically asked for this.

Seven fun facts about me:

  • I love dog walking and could walk for miles (Dogs are great for self care and therapy)
  • I'm also a Creative Product Designer
  • I used to work as a Project Manager and QS in the Construction industry
  • My favourite places are forests
  • My favourite holiday ever was a trip to New York
  • My favourite colour is Green
  • I do love a festival
