About me
My name is Allison. I am a person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Since 2019, I have supported clients with a range of challenges, with a particular focus on anxiety, people-pleasing, and approval-seeking patterns. Having experienced anxiety myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel while recognising that each person’s experience is unique.
I offer a safe, calm, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Together, we can gently make sense of what you’re going through, including patterns of putting others’ needs before your own or struggling to feel good enough.
As a person-centred therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own experience. My approach is grounded in empathy, acceptance, and genuine curiosity.
I can support you with:
- Generalised anxiety and persistent worry
- Panic attacks and health anxiety
- Social anxiety, people-pleasing, and low self-esteem
- Stress and burnout
- Fertility-related anxiety and uncertainty
- Anxiety during pregnancy or early parenthood, including postnatal anxiety
- Anxiety following difficult or unexpected life events
Anxiety can show up in many ways, including racing thoughts, constant worry, or physical symptoms such as tension and difficulty sleeping. People-pleasing can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from your own needs, or unsure how to set boundaries.
You may feel like you have to hold everything together on your own. Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels supportive and manageable.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply need someone to talk to who will listen without judgement, I am here to support you.
- Online sessions: £40.00

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
